My Qualifications As A Home Inspector

 My Promise To You

Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you probably won't get to meet me until after you hire me. Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and yes, different pricing. Ultimately, a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector's own effort. If you honor me by permitting me to inspect your new home, I guarantee that I will give you my very best effort. This I promise you.

The fee or price is usually the first question a client asks. The Look at what you get with a homespect inspection.inspector's experience should be the first question. When you allow Homespect LLC to perform your home inspection you'll receive:

  • A carpenter in the residential and commercial construction industries for 28 years.
  • A proud "Lifetime" member of The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. InterNACHI has the distinction of being a worldwide organization with the most rigorous membership requirements in the world.
  • A certified home inspection instructor by the NJ Department of Education, for which I teach at the Home Inspection Institute in Mount Laurel.
  • The ONLY Nifast Certified Fire and Safety Inspector in Southern, NJ #1145 and one of only two in all of NJ. I am also a Nifast consultant, helping them to develop a Standards of Practice for Fire and Safety Inspections.
  • A NJ DEP. licensed Radon Measurement Technician #12929
  • An IAC2 certified mold inspector/tester. (The International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants) #IAC2-01-5545.
  • The only Certified Pool Inspector in the area. I inspect per the CREIA standards of practice for pool and spa inspections.
  • A Parr/Fema Disaster Inspector.
  • A HUD approved 203K consultant. #1610

included in every inspection.

Some of the factors that determine the price of an inspection are:
  • The size of the home.
  • The age of the home.
  • The type of foundation. (slab, crawlspace, or basement)
  • Additional systems or buildings.

There is hardly anything in the world that someone cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price alone are that person's lawful prey. It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money -- that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot -- it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
